The volume of electricity traded in the Day-ahead Market contract today slipped by 6.12% on the India Energy Exchange.
Total 13,227 Mwh was traded against 14,090 Mwh on November 10, IEX, the country's first power exchange, said in a statement.
Between 1,000 and 1,200 hrs, buyers offered bids for 37,000 Mwh, while sellers for 17,536 Mwh. However, the total volume traded on agreed price was about 13,227 Mwh, it said.
The minimum price that was quoted by the traders was Rs 4.68 kilowatt hour (Kwh), while the maximum price was 9.30 Kwh.
The current installed capacity of power in the country from all sources is about 1.45 lakh Mw. While on IEX, only 0.5% of the total power produced in the country is traded now.
