By caching web downloads, Elitecache is expected to bring in savings in costs and rise in employee productivity.
Elitecache is being launched initially in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata. Elitecore has the largest market share in IP-based telecom services in India, the company said.
Some of the clients of the company include, BSNL, MTNL, Tata Tele, Hughes, Bharti, Reliance, Zee Tele and Hathway.
"There has been a tremendous rise in internet usage and expectations have risen too," said Harish Chib, vice president, marketing, products, Elitecore Technologies.
But insufficient bandwidth is a problem. Quality of service suffers, employee productivity is affected and costs rise, he said. Traditionally, companies have seen increasing bandwidth as the solution to this problem.
"This can be an expensive proposition. With our solution, load on bandwidth reduces and users are satisfied. This leads to better customer retention for service providers and improved employee productivity for enterprises.
Importantly, there is a significant reduction in costs," he said.
With Elitecache placed close to the user's network, each time a page is downloaded, it is stored in the cache.
Next time a request is made for the same page, instead of sending the request to the content provider and downloading the content afresh, Elitecache serves the page from the cache.
When changes are made on the webpage, Elitecache downloads just the changed content and serves the rest from the cache.
