"ESG is a young and vibrant organisation with the average age of staff being 29 years. ESG moves like an army. The staff is willing to do hard work," Srivastav who gave up his post of deputy Director of Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF) to take up the full time job of CEO of ESG told PTI.

He said the revenues of ESG come primarily from the infrastructure created by it. "The demand for our infrastructure is growing and the conference halls are booked all year round. If the revenue streams are good, the volume will also be higher," Srivastav said.

ESG plans to go beyond cinema and focus on international events like the art festival, poster exhibitions in the ESG complex, he added. Srivastav said Goans had silenced their critics in the last four years, who said that the state had no film culture.

"Film culture has taken shape in Goa. Apart from the Iffi, ESG has organised several festivals including the South Asian Film Festival which concluded yesterday drawing good response from the cine goers," he said.
