As per the memorandum of understanding, ATNF would provide expertise in telemedince through "HSPA" network provided by the telco, Ericsson India President Mats Granryd told a press conference here today.
"Through our ongoing partnership with Apollo, we are putting an ecosystem in place to support telemedicine applications once the 3G network is deployed," he said.
Ericsson and Apollo had already collaborated for implementing the former's Gramjyoth project, which had connected 18 villages and 15 towns in the rural areas of the country, through broadband, he said.
Apollo group Chairman Prathap Reddy said the agreement would help the group achieve its motto of "health care for any one, any time and any where".
