Along with the remake of a South Indian blockbuster movie, the alliance will also produce an original romantic comedy and a comic caper. The first film out of this stable would be a romantic comedy, which will go on floors later this year.
Jyoti Deshpande, the executive director of Eros International Media said that both the companies are intellectual property driven. “While film co-production has its natural synergies, we will also create original high quality compelling television content as digitisation takes Indian television into the premium subscription phase. The alliance is founded on the coming together of our respective core competencies in film and television,” she said.

Endemol India produced popular TV reality shows like Bigg Boss and Fear Factor. Eros too holds a library of close to 2,000 films, along with its recently successful movies like English Vinglish and Vicky Donor.
Both these companies are exploring new formats for TV programming, to create high-end scripted content for the Indian television audiences.
