Entertainment firm Eros International Media announced 12.9 per cent growth in its second quarter net profit at Rs 45.33 crore.
This is the company's maiden result since its listing on the bourses on October 6 this year. Eros had reported a net profit of Rs 40.16 crore in the July-September quarter last year, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
However, the media firm's total income declined to Rs 187.9 crore in the September quarter, from Rs 271.8 crore in the year-ago period, the filing added.
Buoyed by the smart numbers, shares of Eros International were trading 3.48 per cent higher at Rs 204.70 on the BSE.
