Eros Jewellery plans to go in for an expansion in a big way. The company plans to open 65 more showrooms in the country within a year. |
Disclosing this here at a press conference recently, the managing director of the Eros Group, Abhay Godha, said the group now had 85 outlets across the country and it planned to add 65 more through the franchisee route in a year. |

"We plan to open the company's showroom in Jaipur soon," Godha said. |

"We have been manufacturing premium-class jewellery but now we will start up with an economy range of jewellery," he said. |
Godha said Eros was the innovative initiative of a family engaged in gems export for many years. He said there has been great changes in the jewellery trends. A few decades back, plain jewellery was in vogue but now stone-studded jewellery was much in demand. |

He said the Eros Group had state-of-the-art manufacturing units in Jaipur, Mumbai, and parts of South India, where in-house designers come up with latest designs and trends. |
The managing director said that thanks to the company own design research cell and services of 50 eminent national and international designers the company has so far evolved over 10,000 new designs in different jewellery items. |
The managing director claimed that due to its innovative designs the company has been able to carve a niche in the branded jewellery segment. |
"After analysing the design trends in the international market and after exporting our items to Europe and America for the last over 15 years we decided to launch Eros brand jewellery in the country", he said. |
Adding that the jewellery being made by Eros is mainly stone studded and is of 18 carat gold. |
