Essar Oil today received its second crude cargo consignment of 1 million barrels for its upcoming 10.5 mmtpa refinery at Vadinar in Gujarat. The consignment, which arrived today is from Vitol, in the Middle East, sources close to the development said. The consignments will enable Essar to commence the pre-commissioning activities of the $2.2 billion refinery. The primary units of the refinery and a few secondary units are going on-stream in the second half of October, sources said.
