Packaging major Essel Propack today reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 5.10 crore during the first quarter ended March 31, 2009, whereas it had a net profit of Rs 4.50 crore in the same period a year ago.
However, the consolidated total income of the company rose to Rs 323.38 crore during Q1 of the current financial year from Rs 282.90 crore in the same period a year earlier, Essel Propack said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
On a standalone basis, it posted a net profit of Rs 2.28 crore during Q1 of FY'09, registering a fall of 33.33%, compared to Rs 3.42 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
