ETA Star to unlock value of Binny Mills' properties

Has 90 acres in prime localities in city

Dubai-based Emirates Trading Agency (ETA) is set to develop the Binny Mill properties in Bangalore.
 
As a start, the company has begun preparing blueprint to develop 90 acres of land spread across Bangalore city, like near Mehkri Circle, Nandidurga road, Commisirat road, Magadi Road and Tank Bed Road in Binnypet.
 
Initially, the company is developing two acres of land on Nandidurga road and 16.2 acres on Magadi road.
 
Addressing a press conference, Syed Salahuddin, managing director, Emirates Trading Agency (ETA) said on Magadi Road, The Gardens - a residential apartment complex will come up and on Nandidurg road, Binny Crescent , premium residential housing will be taken up.
 
The Gardens is a Rs 50 crore project which will have 1.65 million square feet of construction to house 927 apartments. There will be 10 towers each having 18 floors with a combination of 2o3 bedrooms, said P H M Syed Ismail, director ETA-STAR property developers.
 
The Gardens, which will cover 16.55 lakh square feet is also reportedly the first residential project to get clearance from the Union ministry of environment and forests, he added.
 
ETA group is also eyeing the country's infrastructure business like port, ship building, mass rapid transit systems (MRTS), container port handling and highway road construction, said Salahuddin.
 
The company has been selected in the pre-qualification process for the proposed MRTS project in Hyderabad. To execute this, the ETA plans to partner Siemens and BEML for the project.
 
"Metro rail projects interest us. If the project is a BOT (build, operate and transfer) we will come in as a developer as in case of Hyderabad or we could be a contractor," he added.
 
According to him, ETA had executed contracts for Delhi Metro especially electrical, air-conditioning and ventilation work for six stations.
