"We are launching services to Delhi from December, and subject to availability of capacity, we would operate additional flights during the winter under the open sky policy," head of world sales, Kevin Steele of the airline said in a press conference in Mumbai. |
"Passenger traffic out of India is growing at 25 per cent per annum and is one of the fastest-growing market globally. This indeed is the market to be in," Steele added. |

Etihad has placed a $7 billion order with Airbus for 24 planes. It will also be acquiring five Boeing 777-300s. |
The deliveries are expected in the next two years. At present, it operates with six leased planes and aims to have a fleet of 50 planes by 2010 to fly to 60 destinations. |
