Everonn Education today said that it has reported a 50.62 per cent increase in the profit after tax at Rs 15.98 crore for the second quarter ending September 30, this fiscal against the same period a year ago.
In the corresponding quarter last fiscal the city-based technology-enabled education provider had reported a PAT of Rs 10.61 crore, a company statement said here.
For the half year ending September 30, Everonn Education registered a net profit of Rs 23.25 crore, up by 55.9 per cent as compared to Rs 14.90 crore in the same period previous year, it said.
The total income for the quarter ending Sept 30, 2010 stood at Rs 73.81 crore, compared to Rs 48.71 crore in the same period of previous year.
For the half year ending September 30, total income grew to Rs 118.38 crore, compared to Rs 76.95 crore in the same period previous year, it said.
"We are very happy to report that Everonn has registered a commendable growth across our businesses, primarily as a result of our ability to execute projects with significant focus on cost and operational excellence," Everonn Education's Managing Director P Kishore said.
Everonn Education currently reaches to three million students through 9,689 learning centres across 27 states in the country, the statement added.
