Seattle-based global leader in application traffic management, F5 Networks, today announced its entry into the Indian market.F5 would bring its entire portfolio of products and solutions to India, senior company executives said today.Its products include big-IP, Firepass, Trafficshield and Icontrol, which offer security, scalability, and performance.F5 is already present in the Indian market through a primary distributor, Vars and its global partners."Our direct presence will allow us to rapidly scale our marketing activities and beef up marketshare," F5's global senior vice president (marketing) Dan Matte said.Matte said, "F5 had had strong and deep partnerships with industry leaders like Oracle, Microsoft, BEA, SAP, Veritas and Siebel. We will leverage that to increase our marketshare and better serve large Indian MNCs wishing to more effectively deploy large enterprise applications."Company officials said with the rapidly escalating demand for highly available and secure application delivery, F5 sees this as the perfect time to bring its solutions to India.Last full year global revenues of the company exceeded $200 million, they said.Noting that Indian economy is growing rapidly and outsourcing and offshoring have made India an important IT hub, Matte said there was immense demand for secure and accelerated application delivery. "We have the solutions to meet that demand," he said.
