The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci) today announced 21 Fapcci excellence awards for the year 2009-10.
The awards would be given on June 4 to individuals, corporate houses and small-scale organisations in recognition of their achievements in areas of economic, social and scientific development.
“We received 120 entries for the 19 awards. This year we have added two new entries for special innovations in science and technology,” Fapcci secretary general MV Rajeswara Rao said.
Praveen Kumar, a BTech student from Osmania University and a technopreneur, and city-based SEC Industries Private Limited have been selected for the two special awards. For the 19 excellence awards, 15 companies and four individuals have been selected.
The companies include APGenco, Tulasi Seeds Private Limited, KCP Sugar and Industries, Natco Pharma, Zetatek Industries Limited, MSN Laboratories, BioGenex Life Sciences, Prathista Industries Limited, CNC Technic Private Limited, Godavari Polymers, Nava Bharat Ventures and TCS.
The four individual are Tata Narasinga Rao from the International Advanced Research Centre for Power Metallurgy and New Materials, Sarvamangala V Parupudi, proprietor of Anagha, Venishetti Ravi Kumar, a government school teacher, and Anuradha Reddy, founder of Diabetes Foundation.
