Italian car maker Fiat will launch the much-awaited premium hatchback Grande Punto on June 17. The car will be introduced in petrol as well as diesel engine options.
The car will be produced at the company's manufacturing plant in Rajangaon, near Pune, Maharashtra.
"The car will fall in the same segment as the Maruti Suzuki Ritz, Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia and the to-be-launched Honda Jazz", stated a media release.
The company is targeting to increase the localisation content of the Punto 85 per cent by December. The car will be available through a network of 100 Tata-Fiat sales and service outlets.
