FIEO to hold workshop on food processing industry

The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) will organise a two-day national workshop on "processed food industry: opportunities, export potentials and challenges" in Bangalore from April 15. The event is being held at HAL Convention Centre.
 
The workshop will focus on trends in global food business with specific issues like emerging markets, export opportunities and food retailing, technological developments in managing modern supply chain, infrastructure and logistics, convener, FIEO committee on agro exports and AEZ Walter D'Souza and chairman, Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (CEPCI) told reporters, here on Monday.
 
The main objectives of the workshop are to trigger setting up, expansion and modernisation of the food processing industry, exploring new avenues for marketing and distribution of processed food, creating Indian brands in international market and promotion of made in India logo, he said.
 
The workshop is supported by various state and Central government organisations, export promotion councils, commodity boards and trade associations.
