| Saurabh Dhanorkar, director (commercial), Finolex Industries, said, "Currently, the production capacity of Pune plant is 65,000 metric tonne (MT), which will be increased to 80,000 MT by February. The production capacity of Ratnagiri plant, 1.30 lakh MT at present, will be doubled by May. As per the expansion plan, the company plans to invest Rs 220 crore - Rs 200 crore at Ratnagiri and Rs 20 crore at its Pune unit." |
| The Ratnagiri plant is spread over 700 acre, while Pune plant is spread over 85 acre. |
| "The company has invested over Rs 1,050 crore on both the plants till now. In FY05, its sales turnover was Rs 1,000 crore. By December 2005, the company has posted a 30 per cent growth in sales compared with a 5 per cent growth in the comparable period last financial year," Dhanorkar added. |
| Both the PVC pipes (Pune) and PVC resin (Ratnagiri) units have been awarded the IS 14001 certificate for environment management systems. |
