"We have initiated a field service action," Ford India said in a statement.
It will inspect the EcoSport variants for concerns of fuel and vapour line corrosion in the long-term, it added.

The company will also check the reorienting wiring harness related to the correct deployment of side airbags in the recalled vehicles.
This is a pro-active, voluntary recall action, to ensure customers' safety and satisfaction, the company said.
The company is writing to customers and asking them to contact their local Ford dealer so that the necessary rework can be done free of cost, it added. Last year, Ford had recalled 972 diesel variants of the SUV, to rectify a part in the engine starting system.
Since the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers started voluntary vehicle recalls for safety-related issues in India in July 2012, about 700,000 vehicles have been recalled by various manufacturers.
