Ford Motor of America announced Nigel Harris, president and managing director of its India arm, would be moving to a new position as president of Changan Ford, the parent company's joint venture in Chongqing, China. Harris' successor would be announced later, it said.  In the interim, Anurag Mehrotra, executive director for marketing, sales and service, will officiate in addition to his current job.

David Schock, the finance head, will take on additional responsibilities for operational matters. Harris became Ford India's president in February 2014. His tenure saw the launch of an integrated facility in Sanand, Gujarat, to the start of a product-led transformation.

Dave Schoch, the company's head for the Asia-Pacific, said: “Our commitment to building a strong business in India and the Asia-Pacific remains steadfast. We have an experienced leadership team in India and are confident we will continue to drive the company forward during this transition.”
