Fortis Healthcare posts Rs 77 cr loss for Q4

Fortis Healthcare today reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 77.31 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014, against a loss of Rs 116.22 crore in the same period of previous year.

Consolidated total income of the company was at Rs 940.72 crore for the quarter under consideration. It was Rs 1,610.30 crore for the same period year ago, Fortis Healthcare said in a statement.

Consolidated net profit of the company for the financial year ended March 31, 2014, stood at Rs 122.54 crore. It was Rs 499.93 crore for the same period of previous fiscal.

The company posted a consolidated total income of Rs 4,759.30 crore for FY14 as against Rs 6,051.14 crore for 2012-13 year.

"The reported results for FY14 and Q4FY14 are not comparable with the previous periods due to progressive disinvestments of the company's international businesses namely Dental Corporation Australia, Fortis Hoan My Vietnam and Quality Healthcare Hong Kong which took place during the course of FY 2014," Fortis Healthcare said in a statement.

Shares of Fortis Healthcare today closed at Rs 108.90 on BSE, down 1.67% from previous close.
