Fortis Healthcare posted a net profit of Rs 29.4 crore for the fourth quarter of financial year 2010-11, up by 8% as compared to the same period in the previous year.
The net profit took a hit due to the start up losses of the newly commissioned Greenfield Hospitals.
Operating margins improved by 60 basis points to 14.8% in the quarter ended March 2011 as compared to the same quarter a year ago. The operating revenue was up by 26% in the same period.
The shares of Fortis Healthcare were up by 1.94% at Rs 160.60 on Bombay Stock Exchange today.
