Four officers to take stock of inventory

The Calcutta High Court appointed special officers - Ahin Choudury, Pradip Ghosh, Ashok Banerjee and Indra Prosad Mukherjee - will visit Birla Park, at Kolkata, the residential house of late Priyamvada Devi Birla on March 29 for making an inventory of the personal belongings and other goods lying at the house.
 
The officers were also prepare a list of the inventorised goods and to give a report to the court.
 
The special officers were fixed to visit Priyamvada Birla's Mumbai house on March 31 and April 1, House at New Delhi on April 2 & 3 and House at Allahabad on April 8 under the order of Justice K J Sengupta.
 
The officers were make inventory and prepare a list of goods and filed it to the court along with their reports. Following a petition filed by two sisters of M P Birla, the court passed the order.
 
In the petition, the two sisters are alleged that detail list of the assets of late Priyamvada Birla was not filed by R S Lodha in his probate petition. It was also said in the petition that only staffs are residing in the houses so some protection of the properties is necessary.
 
Justice Sengupta after hearing the submission of the parties appointed four advocates of the Calcutta High Court for making inventory of the goods lying at the houses of Priyamvada Birla.
 
The court directed the parties to give full co-operation with the special officers. The court order stipulates three from both sides can be present at the time of the special officer's visit.
