Franke Faber India (FFIL), leaders in Kitchen chimneys and hob manufactrers, will be investing Rs 200 crore over a period of next 3 years for its new factory in Pune, a top official today said.
The new fully-automated state-of-the-art plant, which will be manufacturing hoods and hobs, would mainly cater to the needs of the South East Asian and Middle East markets, Ravi Gupta, FFIL's Managing Director, told reporters here. The investment this year will be Rs 50 crore and the first phase is expected to be ready by December.
FFIL already has a plant in Pune manufacturing hoods and hobs and another company at Aurangabad for manufacturing sinks. About Rs 10 crore had been invested in the Aurangabad plant last year, he said.
"We are anticipating a big business in the Indian market. Our estimate is that the market size of the industry is Rs 300 crore and FFIL's contribution was Rs 150 crore."
With Kerala contributing a business of about Rs 20 crore, he said this year the company was eyeing the state very 'aggressively'.
FFIL today launched a collection and deocrative series of new kitchen hoods (Stilux, Screen, Orizzonte, Inkline, Tratto and Kilma) with MRP from Rs 13,000 to Rs 1.99 lakh. World's hood with built in air conditionder, KILMA, has been built using the most advanced technology in the industry.
It also launched new sinks with MRP of Rs 7,500 and having features like anti scratch, extreme heat resistant and unbreabkable. The company has capacty to manufacture 2 lakh sinks per annum.

The company has Swiss and Italian parentage for 'Franke' and 'Faber' brands respectively.
FFIL has over 2,000 retail counters for sales and service across the country. In Kerala, it has over 150 dealers.
The company has a plant in China to manufacture Franke sinks which caters to Chinese, Phillipines and Korean markets.
