Fratelli Wines begins its venture in Chandigarh market

Buoyed by the success in the wine markets of Pune, Mumbai and New Delhi, New Delhi-based Fratelli Wines announced its foray into the Chandigarh market with a range of wines. Having potential of 4,500 cases(1 case=12 bottles) per annum, the Chandigarh market is considered as one of the emerging markets for the wine makers.

Speaking to Business Standard, Fratelli Wines, Co-promoter and Director, Kapil Sekhri said, “We know that Chandigarh is one of the most rapidly blooming cities in India and with its young populace combined with wine connoisseurs, it is bound to be a great investment pocket for Fratelli Wines. We are not in number game but confident we would be doing very well in the Chandigarh market.”

Already having presence in six cities, the company is further planning to mark its footprint in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana by next year.

He mentioned that overall, the Indian wine market is pegged at around seven million cases per annum and was growing at the rate of 20 to 25 per cent per annum.
