Freecharge founder Kunal Shah supported net neutrality on Thursday on an Ask-me-anything forum on Reddit. “I don’t believe [in] anything that discriminates... my answer is no,” he wrote in response to a question asking him if his company would join Airtel Zero or Internet.org. Freecharge is an online mobile recharge platform and the company was acquired earlier this year by Snapdeal in a $400-million deal.

Shah joins a growing number of tech entrepreneurs who have spoken out in favour of net neutrality. After saying yes to Airtel Zero service, Flipkart too had withdrawn from the programme.

Shah indicated that Freecharge was in talks with other marketplaces to be the wallet of choice for other categories as well. He, however, said there was no plan on making inter-wallet transfers. "It may not make sense till we have some consolidation in this space. But it may be practical to do when it gets to last two-three [players]," he said.

There were questions on Rahul Yadav, the former CEO of Housing.com, too. "I have known Rahul much before his Housing days and I believe even he regrets some of the things he did, but we all are different. His antics did make him the most popular guy in the system," he wrote.

Freecharge recently announced that its wallet crossed one million users within a week of its rollout.
