Invests Rs 25 crore for the fruit juice plant.
Freshthrop Fruits Ltd (FFL), the major exporter of fresh fruits, has just commissioned its fruit juice plant in Nashik. The company’s investment in this juice plant is estimated at around Rs. 25 crore.
The company has now entered the fruit juice business by setting up an integrated juice plant. The company’s fruit juice plant, which is located 15 kms away from Nashik, has just started commercial operation.
This unit is spread over 11.5 acres with a built-up area of 50,000 sq ft. The capacity of this unit will be around 200 tonnes of Pomegranate juice concentrate a day, 100 tonnes each of mango and guava.
“The company will not sell juice directly in domestic market, but will cater to juice manufacturers. At this plant, we will extract pulp of mangoes & guavas and produce pomegranate juice concentrate, and will cater to the juice manufacturers. With the opening of this plant, Freshthrop’s turn over is expected to increase by Rs. 50 crore,” the senior company official told Business Standard.
Presently, the company has three post-harvest handling facilities located at Nashik, Sangli and Satara in Maharashtra. The new fruit juice unit is the company’s fourth facility.
