Kishore Biyani's Future Group is all set launch leading UK department store giant, Debenhams, by rolling out two stores in Delhi this year.Debenhams has strong presence in product categories including women's wear, men's wear, homewares, health and beauty, accessories, lingerie and children's wear. Debenhams has a mix of its own brands and third-party brands.Each Debenhams store would be spread over 25,000 square feet and positioned in the premium category, said Rakesh Biyani, CEO, Future Retail. However, the company did not provided details about the investment involved.Future Group's joint venture partners include French retailer ETAM group, US-based stationery products retailer Staples and UK-based Lee Cooper. Group company, Planet Retail, owns and operates the franchisee of international brands like Marks & Spencer, Next, and Guess in India.The group will also launch two stand-alone stores for Italian denim-wear brand Replay. The 2,000-square feet stores will be opened in Delhi followed by stores in Mumbai and Bangalore, Biyani informed.The group is also planning a separate format for selling ethic wear which, according to Biyani, constitutes 40% of the fashion wear market in India.
