Gail (India) today reported a 1.24% increase in net profit at Rs 643.15 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005 as against Rs 635.28 crore in Q3FY05.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 4,597.39 crore in Q3FY06 from Rs 3,614.49 crore in Q3FY05.The board has approved payment of an interim dividend @ 60% i.e Rs 6 per share for the year ending March 31, 2006, the release added.
