Gateway Distriparks is planning to set up a greenfield container freight station (CFS) near Vallarpadam, Kochi.According to a release issued by Gateway to the BSE today, the company has entered into a 60:40 joint venture (JV) with the Chakiat Group for the project."Chakiat Group has a stake in the International Container Transhipment Terminal (ICTT) at Vallarpadam," the release added.The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs 25 crore. The CFS, to be developed in phases over an area of 17 acre, will have a capacity to handle 15,000 TEU per annum, the release addd.
