Geneva Software aims Rs 100 cr revenue by Mar 09

Bangalore-based value added services company Geneva Software is expecting a revenue of Rs 100 crore in its first year of operation.     

The company, which develops value added applications like messaging services for mobile users, commercially launched its products in February and is hopeful of garnering a revenue of Rs 100 crore by March 2009, its senior vice-president for marketing Rajeev Saxena told PTI.     

The company has partnered with mobile operators like BSNL, MTNL and Spice which are currently offering various value added services based on Geneva's technology. "We have also signed agreements with Airtel and Idea which will offer the services in two months," said Saxena.     

The company offers three kind of mobile applications. GMS (Geneva messaging service) which is a consumer-to-consumer messaging service and enables mobile users to send text messages in English and 11 regional languages.     

"This service is handset and operator independent," he said adding that even if the users do not have GMS application installed on their phone, they can still get the SMS as a picture messages."
