Genpact continues to rule the top slot among the third-party information technology-enabled services (ITeS) and business process outsourcing (ITeS-BPO) companies ranking for FY07, according to Nasscom. While WNS continued to be the second, Transworks -- an Aditya Birla group company -- emerged third from the 15th position last year. The rankings are based on FY07 revenues, reported as per the annual Nasscom survey on the IT industry's performance. There have been significant shifts in the rankings of the top BPOs, with the likes of Wipro BPO, HCL BPO, EXL Service Holdings and Aegis BPO Services suffering a decline in rankings. IBM-Daksh, TCS BPO and Firstsource Solutions, among others, moved up the ladder. The list does not include some companies whose corporate headquarters are located outside India, but have significant India-based delivery capabilities, and have not shared their India-based revenue figures. Had they been ranked based on their India revenues, companies such as Convergys and Sutherland Global Services would have also figured in the list, the Nasscom report said. Since several companies are privately held, and in order to maintain uniformity, revenue figures for the ranked companies are not being shared. According to Nasscom, the ITeS-BPO sector is expected to grow to about $11 billion by the current fiscal end. "The segment continued to grow at a scorching pace, to record export revenues of $8.4 billion in FY07. We expect segment revenues to grow at around 30 %, to clock exports of $10.5-11 billion in FY08," Nasscom president Kiran Karnik said.
