Brokerage firm Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services today said its consolidated net profit for the first quarter this fiscal rose by 86.61 per cent to Rs 13.25 crore over the same quarter’s last year.
The company clocked a net profit of Rs 7.10 crore in the same quarter ended June 2008, Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services said in a press release. Net sales rose to Rs 70.01 crore for the quarter against Rs 43.50 crore in the same period last year.
“Owing to favorable market conditions and the expansion activities carried out in the past one year, revenues have grown significantly,” company Director C J George said.
