Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services today said it has reported a decline of 45.53 per cent in its net profit at Rs 7.08 crore for the second quarter ended September.
The stock brokerage firm had posted a net profit of Rs 13 crore in the July-September quarter last year, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In the September quarter, the consolidated revenues of Geojit BNP Paribas also fell to Rs 71.37 crore from Rs 81 crore in the year-ago period.
The company, which has a strong presence in the Gulf countries, said its board has given an in-principal approval to start joint ventures in Oman and Kuwait.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 35.65 on the BSE, down 4.17 per cent from previous close.
