Germany-based Lavaris Lake, a subsidy of Soll GmbH, is all set to foray in India with its water management solutions. The company has initiated talks with Indian authorities to market its technology used in clearing water off most impurities and make it fit for drinking, agriculture usage, fish and prawn culture.

"There are 12-15 products of our company which we are planning to distribute in India this year through our partner in India Mutual Merchandising. These products have been professionally tested and certified by the Labs in Germany and we are in talks with the Indian authorities to distribute these products. We are aiming at talking to the state governments in India to use our products for drinking water purification such that a person can virtually drink water from the tap in the house. Also, we are in talks with the Madurai water department fpr cleaning the water bodies for agricultural purposes in Tamil Nadu.Besides, we are also looking at the upliftment of waterbodies in West Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and are in talks with the department of fisheries, the Government of India," said Carsten Pachnicke, managing director, Lavaris Lake.

The company aims to offer solutions to 98 per cent of the water problems arising out of contamination, across the spectrum. Products developed by Lavaris Lake include AlgoClear, AquaFloraEnergen, AlgoLon, Aqua Check, Clear Lake, SeDox, OxyActive, pH-Minus, OptiLake. The process for using the products for cleaning a water body starts with testing the water for the pollution level and measuring the quantity of water in that water body. Once the pollution test results come out , the combination of products is recommended and added to the water.

As for the Capex plans for the financial year 2009, the company is looking at investing the necessary funds to develop the Indian market for its products. "For the year 2008, our worldwide turnover was 1 billion euros," Pachnicke added.

Soll GmbH has been in active developing system technologies for effective water treatment and water purification since 1994.
