Heidelberg ProMinent, which has a turnover of Rs 40 crore, had seen a net profit of about Rs 7 crore, last fiscal and hopes for a substantial growth in 2013.
Prasanna Kumar Rao, Managing Director of Heidelberg ProMinent Fluid Controls India said, “We have been growing at an average rate of 15-20 per cent in the last many years. We would now like to expand our range of products to enhance the growth rate and hence our decision to enter the Oil and Gas industry.”

He further adds, “For application in the Oil and Gas industry, Dosing pumps should have API 675 norms which our current range does not have. Hence we are looking at either developing this capability indigenously or acquiring a company having this capability. The acquisition could be in the range of Rs 10 to 20 crore.”
Heidelberg ProMinent manufactures about 60 per cent of the product range manufactured by Prominent in Germany. A certain range of products are now manufactured only in India and exported to group companies in countries including Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and so on.
