Glenmark Pharmaceuticals today said it has started distribution of a morphine-based solution used in treatment of acute pain in the US market through its subsidiary there.
Glenmark Generics Inc (GGI) will distribute the drug, Morphine sulfate oral concentrate solution, in 20mg/ml presentations, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The product is manufactured for Glenmark in the US through a partnership and is distributed directly from GGI's warehouse in New Jersey.
Glenmark's current portfolio consists of 36 products authorised for distribution in the US market. The company has 40 Abbreviated New Drug Application in various stages of the approval process with the US Food and Drug Administration, the filing added.
