GM India slashes prices by up to Rs 30,500

Automobile manufacturer General Motors today cut the price of its vehicles by up to Rs 30,500, following the government reducing excise duty.

With immediate effect, the company has reduced the prices of its small car 'Spark' by Rs 8,000-10,200, GM India Vice President P Balendran told PTI.

The prices of hatchback 'Aveo U-VA' has been cut between Rs 12,000 and Rs 16,000, while that of entry-level sedan 'Aveo' is slashed by Rs 16,700-21,000.

Likewise, the company's multi-utility vehicle 'Tavera' would be cheaper by Rs 16,500, Balendran said.

"These price cuts are in addition to the discounts offered by the company between Rs 20,000 and Rs 58,000 on our different models," he added.
