Built at an initial investment of Rs 35 crore, the academy is spread across 100-acre of land, a company release here said, adding that it would be run by Bangalore-based Raxa Security Services Bangalore formed by the Group.
"Raxa Security Services will give preference to local villagers for employment opportunities," GMR Group Chairman G M Rao said.
The academy would impart induction training to marshals and security supervisors in addition to organising refresher training programmes.
Equipped to train 200 recruits in each batch the academy has all modern training facilities including a parade ground, an athletics ground, gymnasium, simulator for firing practice and a driving track, the release added.
