GMR Infrastructure today reported a 20% increase in net profit at Rs 64.07 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared with Rs 53.26 crore in Q307.Total income has increased 53% from Rs 367.56 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 to Rs 563.20 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007.G M Rao, chairman, GMR Group, said: "We have been able to achieve satisfactory growth in revenues and profit for the quarter. The development and construction of various projects is progressing as per schedule." The Vemagiri power plant is expected to resume operations shortly with the availability of gas.
