GMR Infrastructure, today, posted a growth of 37 per cent in consolidated net profit to Rs 73 crore for the fourth quarter ended March, 2010, over the same period last fiscal.
The company had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 53.24 crore in the same quarter a year earlier, GMR Infra said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
However, net sales declined to Rs 1,124.96 crore in the January-March quarter, down 18 per cent from Rs 1,327.79 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
For the year ended March, 2010, the company's net profit declined 43.31 per cent to Rs 158.40 crore from Rs 279.45 crore in the same period a year ago, the filing added.
Shares of GMR Infrastructure were trading at Rs 55.30 on the BSE, down 2.98 per cent from the previous close.
