Godrej Consumer Products today reported a net profit of Rs 38.89 crore for the quarter ended 31 March, 2007, 28.94 per cent higher as compared to Rs 30.16 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2006. Net sales for the period went up by 13.79 per cent at Rs 186.76 crore as compared to Rs 164.12 crore last year. The consolidated operations of the group, including its acquisitions Keyline Brands and Rapidol, recorded a net profit growth of 28.66 per cent for the quarter at Rs 39.36 crore as compared to Rs 30.59 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. |
Maharashtra Seamless net up 26 per cent |

Maharashtra Seamless, a part of the DP Jindal group, reported a 26.22 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 53.07 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, compared to Rs 42.03 crore in the same quarter last year. The total income (net of excise) of the leading maker of seamless steel pipes and tubes in the country increased to Rs 377.72 crore for the three months ended March 31, up 26.71 per cent from Rs 298.08 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2006. |

SRF bottom line down 11.5 per cent |

Chemical manufacturer SRF Ltd today reported a 11.5 per cent dip in its profit after tax for the quarter ended March 31 at Rs 49.09 crore as against Rs 55.51 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company's revenues in the quarter under review, however, grew 8.32 per cent at Rs 419.77 crore compared to Rs 387.53 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, SRF said in a statement. SRF also declared a final dividend of Rs 2 per share on a share of Rs 10 each. |
