Godrej Properties, the real estate development arm of the Godrej Group, is widening the company's residential projects in South India. The Mumbai-based has launched its new residential villa project, Godrej Gold County, at Tumkur Road, near Bangalore.
The new project which is the fourth project of the company in Bangalore and is spread over about 12 acres and is being developed for an investment of Rs 100 crore.
According to company officials, the new project will comprise of 87 luxury villas built over a total saleable area of 280,000 square feet. In this project the company offers four types of contemporarily designed villas.
“For us Bangalore is a strategic market. In this new luxury project, a customer can opt for villas of size ranging from 3,303 sq ft to 4,113 sq ft, at prices starting from Rs 2 crore,” said Pirojsha Godrej, Managing Director & CEO, Godrej Properties.
The project will use eco-friendly materials and will integrate environment-sensitive passive architectural solutions to minimize the carbon emission associated with the development, the company said.
When asked about launching new projects, Godrej said, we are looking at more projects in India. However, he said our plan is to strengthen presence in our existing market than entering a new location. Presently, Godrej Properties has projects spread over 12 cities across India including Mumbai, Pune, NCR, Ahmedabad among others.
The company's biggest project is in Ahmedabad.
