The company will file a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) in a few months, said Jitendra Dugar, vice-president (treasury, audit and control), Gokaldas Images. The company is planning to come out with the issue around the end of this financial year.

"We have been seeing a rise in export orders in the last few years and the year ahead seems to be promising," said Dugar.

The company is believed to be expanding its machineries from current 5,000. The firm may use the IPO proceeds for its capacity addition.

With the rising rupee, the company has been struggling to maintain its exports for the last six months. According to Dugar, demand for garment has been rising gradually after the Chinese currency began fluctuating leading to a shift in export orders from the neighbour country.

On the domestic front, after selling its casual wear retail chain Weekender to value fashion retailer Primus, Gokaldas Images is now focusing on setting up exclusive outlets for its lingerie brand Enamor. For the financial year 2007-08, Gokaldas Images has reported a turnover of around Rs 400 crore, Dugar added.
