Goldstone Imaging Pvt Ltd, a Delhi-based printing solutions provider, plans to launch thermal printers by April this year. |
Amit Jain, operations head, on his visit to Ahmedabad, said,"We will be launching thermal printers by April this year. Initially, we will import them from European or American companies and later take up their assembling." |
However, the company would decide on the assembling part once a certain volume of sales is achieved. "We will be pricing them competitively," he added. |
Jain, however, refused to reveal further details on the amount of investment and pricing of the printers. The company, which manufactures inkjet papers under the brand name 'Full Colors', currently holds a 40 per cent market share in the inkjet paper business. |
Recently, Goldstone also began marketing Ansmann batteries and power solutions in Delhi and Gujarat. |
"Apart from printing solutions, we want to move into power and storage solutions. Hence, we took up the distribution of Ansmann batteries and power solutions. Whereas for storage solutions, we have tied up with a UK-based company, Just Rams Plc, to market their memory cards, pen drives and card readers under the brand name Integral," said Jain. |
For the Ansmann batteries, the company aims to achieve a market share of 20 percent in the coming months. Goldstone has around 10 distributors for Ansmann batteries in Gujarat and aims to add 10 more. |
The company is offering a wide range of power solutions with warranties as long as three years. |
"Although we are basically a digital imaging company, we want to cover other segments that supplement our products. Hence, after inkjet printing papers, we are now moving into printers," added Jain. |
