The government today approved sale of its five per cent stake in state-run power producer NTPC this financial year.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved five per cent disinvestment in NTPC, Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma said after attending the CCEA meeting.
