Granules, Nirma, Pidilite & Rane Brake Q3 results

Granules India (GIL), a fully-integrated pharmaceutical manufacturing company, registered 53 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 2.22 crore for the quarter ended December 2005, as against Rs 1.45 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
 
The company's sales increased by 43 per cent to Rs 44.44 crore as against Rs 31.15 crore in the same period last financial year.
 
Nirma Q3 net up 42.63% to Rs 100 cr
 
Detergent maker Nirma Ltd reported 42.63 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 100.50 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005, as compared with Rs 70.46 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous financial year.
 
Total income has increased marginally to Rs 461.37 crore from Rs 457.24 crore in the year-ago period, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
 
Pidilite Q3 net up 20.14% to Rs 20 cr
 
Pidilite Industries, manufacturers of adhesives and industrial chemicals, reported 20.14 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 20.16 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005, as compared with Rs 16.78 crore in the same period last financial year.
 
Total income grew 16.15 per cent to Rs 242.74 crore from Rs 208.98 crore in the year-ago period, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
 
Rane Brake net dips 67% to Rs 3.6 cr
 
Rane Brake Linings reported a fall in net profits by 67 per cent to Rs 3.6 crore for the third quarter ending December 31, 2005, as compared with Rs 11.1 crore for the same period last year.
 
Total turnover registered a decline of 19.5 per cent to Rs 38.6 crore from Rs 48 crore recorded last year.
