Engine maker Greaves Cotton today posted a 25.85% increase in its standalone net profit at Rs 34.95 crore for the quarter ended June 30.
For the first quarter of last financial year, the company's net profit was Rs 27.77 crore, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company's net sales for the quarter under review increased 16.25% at Rs 401.83 crore, as against Rs 345.66 crore.
The firm manufactures industrial products including diesel and petrol engines, gensets, agro equipment and construction equipment.
Greaves Cotton's scrips closed at Rs 87, up nearly 2% from the previous close on the BSE.
