Mumbai-based Gremach Infrastructure Equipment & Project Ltd has floated four projects in Madhya Pradesh with a combined investment of Rs 800 crore.

The company has shown interest in the state in a multi-product special economic zone (SEZ) in Indore, a cargo hub near Bhopal airport, the development of a convention centre, and an IT SEZ.

The state Project Implementation and Clearance Board has considered the project and has sought more details from the firm.

"They have expressed interest in developing a multi-product SEZ in Indore, but we have advised them to bid for the existing SEZ. As regards the IT SEZ, the company has been granted an in-principle approval to go ahead with the project. They have asked for 50 acres in Bhopal for the purpose," a senior government official told Business Standard. Gremach will invest Rs 200 crore in the IT SEZ.

The company, according to the official, has also been advised to bid for India Trade Promotion Organization, which will develop a convention centre in Bhopal by converting (Minto Hall) the old Legislative Assembly House in Madhya Pradesh.

It has expressed interest in investing Rs 200 crore developing a cargo hub near Bhopal airport, said the official adding, "They have demanded a land area of 250 acres near airport. The requisite land will be available to them.
