Gujarat Ambuja cement has recorded a 11% rise in cement despatches at 12.54 lakh tonne in the month of December 2004 as against 11.23 lakh registered during same month of last year.The despatches for the period July-December 2004 grew 15% to 70.31 lakh tonne against 60.86 lakh tonne in the corresponding period of previous year, a company press release said.The company's production grew by 14% last month at 12.63 lakh tonnes compared to 11.07 lakh tonnes in the same period last year, the release said.Prodcution of the July-December 2004 has shown a 16% growth at 70.45 lakh tonne compared to 60.75 lakh tonne in the corresponding period of previous year, it added.
