Gujarat Gas Company has posted a 72% increase in its unaudited profit after tax at Rs 27.32 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 15.86 crore in the same period last year. Total income has increased from Rs 139.29 crore in Q1-04 to Rs 160.06 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.According to a release issued by Gujarat Gas to the BSE, the company has reported a 89% jump in unaudited consolidated net profit to Rs 33.45 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 17.73 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004. Total income has increased from Rs 171.28 crore in Q1-04 to Rs 194.64 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.
